Integrations
Connect 3DBAE to 3ds Max— and your AI.
Live Link for your DCC workflow. A scoped MCP server for your AI workspace. Two direct routes into the same 3D platform.
Why integrations
Seamless by design.
From DCC scene to browser workspace to AI agent, every connection uses the product's real data model and validation rules.
Live scene transfer
Open a project from 3ds Max and move the complete exportable scene into a browser review session.
Production asset fidelity
Keep hierarchy, transforms, pivots, cameras, visibility, PBR materials, geometry, and animation together.
Agent-ready platform
Give trusted AI clients scoped access to projects, configurators, Canvas, Library, and product guidance.
3ds Max integration
Your scene, live on the web.
3DBAE Live Link opens a connected browser project from 3ds Max and keeps the complete exportable scene in step while you work. No download-export-import loop.

Active project
Product watch — hero scene
Scene changes are staged locally, then applied to the connected 3DBAE project with Max-authored structure intact.
Scope
Complete exportable scene
Source of truth
3ds Max while connected

Agent integration
Let AI agents build in 3DBAE with you.
Connect any compatible AI client through MCP, sign in with 3DBAE, and approve only the workspace capabilities the task needs.

Connect MCPConfigurators
Inspect a scene, read capabilities, and apply validated Scene Programs with version-safe writes.
Canvas
Read typed node graphs and apply atomic, validated workflow changes without bypassing the editor.
Library
Browse assets, manage folders, and queue source-safe optimization using the same platform rules.
Account & guidance
Read safe account facts and official product guidance without exposing sessions, passwords, or billing data.
One connected workflow
From Max scene to living product page.
Live Link and MCP do different jobs, but they meet in the same 3DBAE workspace—so technical handoffs stop fragmenting the work.
01 · Build
Author in Max. Review in the browser.
Keep modeling where it belongs, then open Live Link for a connected 3DBAE review without packaging another handoff.
02 · Refine
Let an agent handle structured edits.
Ask an MCP client to inspect the scene, update validated configuration logic, or assemble a repeatable Canvas workflow.
03 · Publish
Turn the same work into a shareable experience.
Finish materials and interactions in 3DBAE, then publish a stable link or embed the experience on your site.
Practical answers
Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to choose the right connection and get ready for setup.
Which integrations does 3DBAE support?+
The integrations page focuses on the two supported connection surfaces available today: 3DBAE Live Link for Autodesk 3ds Max and the authenticated 3DBAE Platform MCP server.
What do I need for the 3ds Max installer?+
The current Live Link release targets Autodesk 3ds Max 2024 on 64-bit Windows. Close every running 3ds Max process before installing because the native bridge cannot be replaced while it is loaded.
What does Live Link send to 3DBAE?+
Live Link sends the complete exportable scene and keeps 3ds Max authoritative for DCC-authored names, hierarchy, transforms, pivots, cameras, visibility, materials, geometry, and supported animation while the session is active.
Can I pause a Live Link session?+
Pause keeps the browser session connected while stopping exports and updates. Resume performs the next synchronization, which is useful before a long sequence of edits in a heavy Max scene.
How do I connect an AI client through MCP?+
Add the server URL to an OAuth-capable MCP client. The client discovers 3DBAE sign-in automatically, then asks you to approve only the named read or write scopes it needs.
Do I need an API key for MCP?+
No API key is required for standard OAuth-capable clients. Personal bearer tokens are an advanced fallback for desktop or DCC clients that cannot complete OAuth, and should be granted only the minimum scopes required.
Put your 3D workflow on speaking terms.
